Brain Based Strategies
Brain based learning refers to teaching methods, lesson designs, and school programs that are based on the latest scientific research about how the brain learns, including such factors as cognitive development.
Various brain based strategies that I have used in classroom are as follows :
1. Fill in the blanks :
In this teaching strategy the teacher gives an incomplete scientific scientific term for e.g
_L__TR_____ and the student has to identify it.
2. Boggle :
In this teaching strategy the teacher gives some letters to students and the students has to make as
many words as possible using the letters.
3. Crossword puzzle :
In this teaching strategy the teacher gives a crossword puzzle with terms related to a certain
scientific concept. For e.g Periodic table and the student has to solve the puzzle
